Buzz Telecom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Buzz Telecommunications Services (BZZ:TSX.V) and a CRTC Licensed Telecom Carrier, one of the alternative telecom providers to the residential, business and wireless long distance market. It is one of the few Canadian long distance companies that is able to offer its customers global dial around long distance services at considerably lower rates.
Buzz Telecom introduced its first casual call service, 10-11-289 in Quebec and Ontario in 2004 and offers a bundle of minutes for only 99 cents per call. Dialing 10-11-289 in front of the long distance number allows customers to dial-around their service providerand enjoy cut-rate long-distance services that simply appear on their telephone line provider monthly bill. Customers need not switch long distance providers. Buzz Telecom’s most recently introduced service, 10-11-555 was launched from their wholly owned subsidiary, Triple 5 Communications in May, 2006. This service allows customers to enjoy low, per minute rates billed on both their Bell Canada, Videotron, Sprint and Rogers bill. An even more recent launch as of August 2006 of the aforementioned 10-11-555 service now functions for all Fido mobile subscribers in the Montreal and Toronto Fido zones and most recently the service 10-11-555 Fido is available from Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa and Quebec city. Buzz Telecom is the first telecom company in Canada to offer a dial around service that functions from a mobile phone. Buzz Telecom offers its 10-11-555 and 10-11-289 dial around services to residential customers and corporations.
Buzz Telecom’s network spans mostly all of Quebec and Ontario for landline and Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa and Quebec city for Fido monthly subscribers, with its high-tech system having affiliations to numerous carrier networks. When a customer dials a long distance phone number, Buzz Telecom redirects the call to one or many of its associated carriers, the selection being based on the best quality and most cost-effective routes. Buzz Telecom’s solutions are designed for commercial and residential and wireless users who want to effectively reduce their long-distance charges.
